On the same day I made our Filipino cuisine, I decided to hang up my hanging flower pots and plant our veggies. YAY! Believe it or not, I get a little shaky even getting on the top step of the step-stool, but I persevered and now have pretty pots hanging from my front porch! OH! And I have a hummingbird feeder up, too! 🙂
As I said before, we also planted our veggies. I did take two helps from the store: tomatoes and cauliflower. I’m not ashamed…. Nope, not me! 😉 The seeds I planted are: beans, broccoli, basil, peas, carrots, arugula, onions, corn, sweet and hot peppers, lavender, chives, oregano, thyme, rosemary, parsley, dill and cilantro (my most favorite herb, EVER!). I can’t wait to see the fruits of my labor! 🙂
It’s that time of year, again, folks! I absolutely LOVE gardening! It’s GOOD exercise and I just LOVE the end result! At the end of February, the kids and I took a whole Saturday and cleaned up the garden areas, added border to a few garden areas, planted seeds and added in mulch! We had a such a good time and it looks beautiful! (Of course, I’m a bit biased… ;-))
Thank you for looking at my little garden! A little later on, I’ll be sharing my vegetable garden that I started a few weeks later! YAY! 🙂
My dear, sweet Jason had this wonderful idea of digging a fire pit in our back yard. Isn’t that GENIUS? Who needs to spend money on a manufactured fire pit from the store when you can just DIG one! It’s free. And it’s permanent… unless, of course, you fill it back up w/ dirt. Ha ha.
Anyhoo, isn’t this cool???
It was so nice in the month of October. It wasn’t too hot, it wasn’t too cold… it was just the perfect weather. Because it had cooled down some, though, I was able to plant a boat-load of pansies! I seriously heart those flowers! They make me happy. 🙂 Anyway, here are some updated pictures of my garden areas. 🙂
Anyway. Thanks for stoppin by to take a look at my garden! I really really love doing it. I love driving home and seeing my flowers and plants staring at me as I pull into the driveway and walk to my door. (giggle)
Is that a word? Transplantation? Let me go look it up.
*Insert cheesy hold music here*
Yep! It is indeed a word!
Anywho… The other day, the kids and I transplanted several flowers b/c they were just getting too big for their britches. I didn’t get a chance to take a pic of the kids helping me out b/c my hands were covered in dirt!
We also moved all of the plants to the backyard b/c they desperately needed sun and weren’t getting enough in the porch. I’m really hoping and praying these plants will hold out until we move. I don’t want them to die on me!
I took some more pictures on Saturday. Aren’t they lookin’ great?!?!?!
Well, I planted my seeds on March 20th and let me tell you – these plants have sprouted SO QUICKLY! I’m SO excited!
Problem. We planted those before we decided to buy a house. So, I’m going to have all these plants in these little containers with no where to go… What’s a girl to do?
